Lady Gaga Understood The Impact of One Word

When Lady Gaga first started off as a singer, she was overwhelmed by the music industry. Being as talented as she is, she got a lot of opportunities. She had a habit of saying yes to each and every opportunity that came her way and while at first she highly enjoyed it; it slowly started draining her.

“I feel sad when I’m overworked and that I’ve just become a money-making machine and that my passion and my creativity take a backseat. That makes me unhappy.”

This eventually led her to see her talent being driven mainly by and for money. Her love for what she was so passionate about was gradually fading and that was not something she was highly fond of. Once she saw herself so unhappy with something she was supposed to enjoy with all her heart, she knew the only way to fix it would be to take a step back. The more yes she said, the worse it got for her. So it was only necessary for her to find a solution to her problem.

Lady Gaga Learned How To Say No

Lady Gaga was so stressed and drained because of constantly agreeing to every single project that came her way that she had to ultimately say no. When she first said the word, she learned how much power it actually held. The rejuvenating feeling that she got because of it was something she was unfamiliar with at first.

“So what did I do? I started to say no. I’m not doing that. I don’t want to do that. I’m not taking that picture. I’m not going to that event. I’m not standing by that because that’s not what I stand for. And slowly but surely, I remembered who I am.”

She did not let her fame drag her down and instead used it to lift herself even higher. She understood her choice in the matter and only took on projects that she actually wanted to, giving her the opportunity to spread her wings without the fear of flying too close to the sun.
