As per the latest reports, the AAA video game will be available to download for the world very soon alongside the pre-orders and the Xbox game pass subscribers. The catch, however, is that there could very well be a day-one patch that would ruin people’s enjoyment during the first few days.

Starfield Could Have A Day-One Patch To Ruin Gamers’ Experience

Well, it’s not like Bethesda Studios is deliberately trying to ruin people’s gaming lives with an overwhelming amount of updates, it’s just that they have to. From a recently leaked report, Amazon accidentally revealed that Starfield will be available to pre-download for everyone from 9th August.

The news was quickly taken down before it could be confirmed. Given the gigantic 125 GB file size of the game, fans had been concerned about how long it will take the game to install and play but an early release might give them the time they need. Ironically, Bethesda Studios is kind of notorious and infamous for ruining the first-day experiences with some heavy patches on the day of the release.

Back in 2018, Bethesda released a patch greater than the entirety of the then-recently launched game Fallout 76 and received intense backlash for it. From what the developers entail, fans are worried that Starfield could possibly go through the same fate just like many other Bethesda games before. But not all hope is lost.

The game was announced way back in 2018 alongside The Elder Scrolls 6. Being 6 years in development, Bethesda Studios had made an announcement that this was their most complete and bug-free game created ever.

This statement seemed to bring some relief to the people since Bethesda Studios has been known to create several buggy games with glitches. Fans are indeed expecting at least a 50 GB update on the day of release but there have been no confirmed sources to back this claim. Starfield is set for a release date of 6th September 2023 and will release on Xbox Series S/X and PCs. The game is currently available to pre-order online or is included in the Xbox game pass.
