Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are contemporary actors who started their film careers in some of the well-renowned films of the 90s. Both actors are some of the rare actors who are known for starring in prestige films rather than blockbusters and big franchises. While both have starred in one or two such big films, it seems that Leo has some edge over Pitt regarding their box office pull and their ability to bring in audiences to the theatres. But there is a unique yet hilarious record that Pitt holds over Leo, one which Leo won’t be able to overthrow ever.

Brad Pitt’s Highest Grossing Feature is One He’s Barely In

As put forward by Startefacts, Brad Pitt who featured in Deadpool 2 (2018) grossed around $765 million at the box office. The film in which Brad Pitt had a very brief two-second cameo as The Vanisher was a ‘blink and you miss it’ moment in the film. It is indeed a very funny fact that the highest-grossing film of his career turned out to be one in which he wasn’t even properly in the film itself.

No one knew about his involvement in the film. It must be a very shockingly yet hilarious moment when audiences saw him in the film, for such an insignificant role. It must be because of Pitt’s love and long-standing relationship with the director of the film David Leitch, who was his stuntman in films such as Fight Club (1999) and Troy (2004). He showed up for his friend for a brief gag which honestly must be Pitt’s easiest role he’s ever had.

Considering, the kind of star power both stars have, it is funny to compare their respective highest-earning films. While Leonardo Di Caprio‘s highest-grossing film Titanic (1997) made history at the box office earning an unprecedented feat of $2 billion at the box office for the time, Pitt’s highest-grossing is funnily one where he was in a brief cameo. This is a hilarious feat, one which even Leonardo couldn’t achieve. Pitt’s highest grossing where he was the lead is World War Z (2013), which grossed about $540 million in its theatrical run.

One can admit that DiCaprio has starred in more financially successful films than Pitt, but there is no competition among the actors. Both of them have immense respect for each other, having devoted fans and their place as some of the great actors in cinema history, which is a better feat than having commercial box office success.
