What is the Prison Realm?

The Prison Realm was teased earlier in season 1 and returned in season 2 to surprise us with the series’ most unexpected twist of all time. Prison Realm is the final remains of Buddhist monk Genshin. It is referred to as a “taboo object” because it is a living barrier so powerful that nothing can pass through it. It’s a unique cursed item. It has a formidable living barrier that can confine anything or anyone to a pocket realm from which that thing/person imprisoned cannot escape indefinitely.

When a person is stuck, they become immobile, as if they are in an actual prison. Worse, they are unable to use any of their cursed energy. Furthermore, time stops inside the Prison Realm; it is undoubtedly a location that will cause you to lose your mind and become insane. The imprisoned person is reported to be in an uncomfortable and creepy atmosphere surrounded by gloomy skulls and bones.

Kenjaku’s Master Plan Against Gojo Satoru

Kenjaku needed to devise a strategy that would immobilize Gojo. He had learned from his previous failures against Six-Eyes that he would not be able to kill Gojo. As a result, he carefully built the groundwork. Kenjaku previously stated that a minute for a normal mind is akin to mere seconds for Gojo’s brain. As a result, he had to freeze Gojo for an instant to activate the Prison Realm and lock him inside it. After distracting him with the transfigured humans, all Gojo could see when Kenjaku stepped in front of him was his best buddy Geto, whom he had to kill himself.

This event managed to disrupt his usually calm demeanor, which is how he met all of the requirements for the Prison Realm to function. Geto’s appearance rattled the normally calm and serene Gojo Satoru to his core. Standing before him was a man he had killed with his own hands after Okkotsu had nearly killed him. A minute has already gone in this portion of time. As a result, Gojo’s ability became a curse for him.
