Speaking about it in an interview on Twitter, the actor revealed that when Washington was walking down the street, he went to give him a hug as a fan.
“You was at Roxberry one day, back in the day and I…you don’t remember this but I literally ran across the street and tried to hug you. Yeah but you did some kind of move that was like [raises his elbow in a choking position]”

In an interview with David Letterman on the Late Show with David Letterman, Denzel Washington was talking about his 1999 film The Hurricane. With the topic of boxing and fighting at hand, Washington claimed that he would win against Sylvester Stallone if the two were ever to face each other in the ring!
“If I was boxing Sylvester Stallone. No he couldn’t beat me. Not boxing, maybe wrestling, maybe if you got a grip on me. Boxing, no I would knock him out.”
The actor hasn’t gotten himself into public feuds (yet) but it would be a fun match to watch if Sylvester Stallone boxed against The Tragedy of Macbeth actor in a ring.
