Jackie Chan is one of the legendary figures in the world of martial arts. He is considered a significant force in changing how Hollywood sees and films action sequences. The industry welcomed the Asian style of raw and creative action filmmaking bolstered by Chan’s unique mix of practical action and humor. He is also a fan of an ionic Hollywood spy named James Bond. He even got to do his own version of a spy in The Tuxedo.
Chan has professed his love for the character of James Bond. The suave and charismatic Hollywood spy seems to have enchanted him as a child and he always wanted to play a similar character in a film. He also revealed his favorite Bond out of the many actors who have portrayed the character.

Jackie Chan’s Favorite James Bond is Sean Connery
Jackie Chan got to do his own version of a James Bond character in the spy parody film The Tuxedo. He did an interview in 2002 promoting the film while also talking about his love for James Bond and wanting to play a similar role in his career. He even revealed his favorite Bond out of the many actors who have portrayed the character. He told Crosswalk.com,
“Yes, I do! When I younger I always dreamed to be in a James Bond movie. I love watching and dreaming about being him when I was younger. I say I want to be like him. I dream about saving the world, saving people, so I want to be like him and do those things. So in this movie I get to be James Tong and it fun to dress in tuxedo and be cool and have all the toys that make spy cool.
I had good time making this movie because of that. I think, I like when I younger and he the best. Who the older one with gray beard? Yeah that right! Sean Connery! He the best Bond for me, and only he the true Bond as far I concerned.”
Chan never got to do a proper James Bond-esque character in his career, which would have been extremely interesting to watch. However, he already has the incredible Police Story franchise and other amazing action comedies that are still memorable and enjoyed by fans even today.
