Remembering the superhit TV sitcom series FRIENDS, the first thing that most people remember might be the character of the sarcasm overlord Chandler Bing, brought to life in the perfect depiction by Matthew Perry. But in recent times, those memories of the star are more valuable than they were before after his sudden tragic death on 28th October 2023.

Matthew Perry Sent 36 Roses With A Charming Message On A Card To Julia Roberts
Everyone has witnessed the comedic prowess and the finest form of sarcasm of Late FRIENDS star Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing in the show. While he may have had the same traits in real life as well, he possessed the ability to charm someone of the opposite gender as well, something that no one else truly knew until he got into a relationship with Academy award-winner Julia Roberts.
And the way he went on to win her heart is something out of a princess fairy tale involving beautiful flowers and equally beautiful words.

In his memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, the star touched upon his brief relationship with Roberts in 1996. He said that when he heard the news that the Pretty Woman star wanted to be part of an episode of FRIENDS alongside Chandler Bing, he wanted to show his gratitude and appreciation for her, which led him to send a bouquet of 36 roses and a heartfelt message that read:
“The only thing more exciting than the prospect of you doing the show is that I finally have an excuse to send you flowers,”
He also stated that after he made this gesture, both of them started faxing each other, which further broadened their conversation. Perry even admitted that he would purposefully avoid flirting with other women because of this, saying:
“I was so excited that some nights I would find myself out at some party sharing a flirtatious exchange with an attractive woman and cut the conversation short so I could race home and see if a new fax had arrived. Nine times out of 10, one had.”
This ended up becoming a bonding experience for Roberts as she later went on to make a guest appearance on the show during the second season, although, their relationship lasted only two months.

Which Episode Of FRIENDS Featured Julia Roberts?
Julia Roberts made her iconic appearance on FRIENDS as Susie in the 13th Episode of the Second Season that aired on TV on 28th January 1996. The episode was titled The One After The Superbowl: Part Two.
This episode featured the gang and their eventful time after the Superbowl game, where Ross goes on to find his ape companion Marcel on the set of a new film being produced, and Chandler meets Susie, who also happens to be one of his acquaintances from back when he was a kid. Alongside this, both Rachel and Monica are trying to get the attention of Jean Claude Van Damme.
