The actor is most famous for his iconic roles in Asian martial arts and action films like Zui quan and Jing cha gu shi. Not only in Asian cinema, but he is also famous for performing in Hollywood blockbusters like Rush Hour, Kung Fu Panda, and a remake of The Karate Kid.
All the success didn’t come easy to Chan. His early life was indeed challenging. The martial artist was brought up in a poor area of Hong Kong. He also often had to face bullying by other kids in his school.
A similar incident occurred when young Chan was bullied during a school brawl. The bullies insulted him, referring to him as a “servant’s kid,” which deeply hurt the Rush Hour star.

When Jackie Chan was in school, the rich kids would shout mean comments at him. They used to say, “Servant’s kid!” “Hey, beggar, if you don’t have money for the bus, don’t come to school (via Never Grow Up).
After enduring insults for a while, he couldn’t take it any longer. Once on the playground, when they made a cruel remark, he confronted them. A fight broke out, and he used all the techniques his dad taught him, but he was against many.
During the fight, one grabbed Chan’s legs, and that’s when he lost his balance and fell down. His “head hit a rock, and everything went black.” The kid who knocked him down was the son of an ambassador. So, when Chan was on the ground, the kid ran home to get help and the rest of the kids scattered.

After the fight, when Jackie Chan got injured, the bully’s father showed up looking anxious. The bully’s family was worried that the situation could turn into an international incident if Chan’s parents took any legal action.
Chan explained that although he wasn’t severely injured, he felt dizzy after the fight. The embassy ambassador then took him home, and he eventually fell asleep. After waking, he felt achy all over, with a throbbing pain on the back of his head.
Later, the actor’s father came home shortly and told him (as per Jackie Chan’s book, Never Grow Up), “The ambassador’s son brought a gift for you.” The boy was holding a gigantic box of chocolates. After seeing the box, the (now) Hollywood star noted that even though his “head was spinning,” he had quite an “appetite.”
