The gaming industry has been going wild after Rockstar Games acknowledged the next Grand Theft Auto title after years of teasing. It’s been over a decade since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and fans have been eagerly waiting for GTA 6. With the announcement, many leaks have surfaced on social media that claim GTA 6 will have this one insane feature that may have been inspired by Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs: Hacking.
Gamers got a small glimpse of hacking throughout GTA 5 and GTA Online‘s story and now it seems like Rockstar Games will be increasing the frequency of hacking missions in their upcoming title. Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs video games are completely based on this idea, making their games quite exciting, so it makes sense why Rockstar Games is eager to add this.

Rockstar Games will reportedly add hacking in GTA 6
As gamers eagerly wait for GTA 6‘s announcement, a leak has been spreading on social media. As per ScreenRant, Rockstar Games will be adding hacking in GTA 6. Over the years, we all have seen the Grand Theft Auto series being more on the aggressive side and less on the stealth, hacking side. The idea was implemented in GTA 5 and GTA Online as fans came across many missions where they had to hack several computers. While that idea was neat and simple, Rockstar Games is reportedly planning to take it to the next level.
It’s been over a decade since the release of GTA 5 and since then, the hacking concept has been applied in many games, in fact, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs franchise is completely based on this idea. So, obviously, Rockstar Games will also hop on the bandwagon and implement this idea in their upcoming Grand Theft Auto title.

The trailer for GTA 6 will be dropped in “early December“
The Grand Theft Auto fandom has been celebrating as Rockstar Games finally announced some solid news regarding GTA 6. The announcement came from the President of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser, himself. In the latest tweet, Houser said,
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you. / Thank you, Sam Houser”
In roughly 6 hours, the tweet garnered over 1 million likes, which explains the hype surrounding the game. The expectations are quite high as Rockstar Games has been developing this game for the past 10 years. GTA 5‘s trailer was dropped in 2011 and the game was released in 2013, so if Rockstar Games follows this trend again, fans will have to wait until 2025 in order to play the game.
