After numerous leaks, rumours and speculations, the wait for an official word by Rockstar is over. We’ve finally received a message regarding GTA 6 from Sam Houser, the president of Rockstar Games. In celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary next month, we’ll be receiving the game’s first trailer.
This was shortly after Jason Schreier, a reputed insider told Bloomberg about the game’s possible reveal. Hence, the news corroborates the information and we’re finally getting a look at the game soon.

Thank you,
Sam Houser
In a Twitter thread, Rockstar has expressed their gratitude for the community’s support throughout the years and how excited they are to announce the game further. As expected, the community’s response is wholesome and wild, making GTA 6 one of the most trending topics on Twitter at the time of writing.
So, When Will We Get To Experience GTA 6?
Firstly, this marks the first official word we’re receiving regarding a teaser (and a trailer) for the next entry in Grand Theft Auto. In fact, it’s the first time in over 11 years that we’re hearing about a new Grand Theft Auto. GTA 5 was revealed in 2011 and arrived on consoles in 2013.
However, based on Take-Two’s statement regarding expectations from the next fiscal year gave us a rough estimate of the game’s release window between April 2024 and March 2025. In order to make the most profits out of GTA 6’s release, the game will need to come out during this time.
Secondly, following the traditional way of doing things at Rockstar, we’re likely to see a teaser such as a new logo, short video or something between those lines in the context of GTA 6, before we take a proper look at the game’s trailer. Shortly after that, we can expect multiple videos breaking down the gameplay, map size, characters, new mechanics and so on.
Finally, this is also the first time in a while (since the major leak a few years ago) that Rockstar has acknowledged the game, even though multiple leakers and insiders have been coming up with theories of their own regarding the game’s estimated trailer reveal. Fortunately, all of that is behind us as we will be taking a proper look at the game quite soon.
Between GTA 5 and GTA 6’s announcement, we’ve seen a handful of new projects and updates from Rockstar including Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. Naturally, the excitement for a new game by one of the most successful video game companies is unmatched.
Releasing GTA 6’s trailer during Rockstar’s 25-year anniversary is an excellent choice to introduce players to the studio’s next big open world, and we can expect to do so in early December. In the meantime, the GTA 6 subreddit (among other platforms) will be discussing more theories, insights and all that they wish to see from the trailer.
