The finale of Loki season 2 is expected to influence Avengers: Secret Wars’ plot, along with the future of the multiverse. Hence, it is only possible that Hiddleston’s Loki will play an irreplaceable role in the film, set to hit theatres 3 years later. The viral post on Twitter featured an Avengers: Secret Wars poster and a still from Loki S2. The caption of the post was the point of intrigue. It read,

“Loki will have a huge role in Avengers: Secret Wars”

Likewise, several fans in the comments agreed with the revelation, further chipping in their own insights. One fan affirmed that Loki deserved the reprise while another was simply glad to hear it. Moreover, the comment related Loki to the 2015 comic book character, Molecule Man. While these might seem like speculations, some sources have almost confirmed Loki’s indulgence in the upcoming big bash.

Soon after the 118-day actors strike ended on Wednesday, the English actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss upcoming movies and Loki’s fate in MCU. He was among the first actors who were allowed to do so.

Hence, not missing the opportunity, Fallon took a deep insight from Hiddleston on the possibilities of Loki’s time-slipping ability. He asked if Loki could now bring Iron Man back, among other superheroes who had died. Perplexed, Tom Hiddleston agreed without revealing much, and said,

“This guy. This is investigative journalism right here! I mean … time-slipping technically gives Loki some interesting moves he can make.”

Additionally, the 42-year-old actor grew wary of his response and instanced his character’s fate in the MCU instead. Hiddleston hinted,

“Speaking for myself, Loki’s died a few times. I’m still here. I don’t know that death is necessarily … I mean death is — death is up for grabs, as an existential question! That’s all I can give you!”

It is expected that Loki S2 shall set the stage for the upcoming Avengers movies, especially, Avengers: Secret Wars. As per an MCU theory by ScreenRant, the anti-hero’s ability to hold the multiverse together, and his status as MCU’s God of Stories, could replace Doctor Doom in Avengers.
