Ryan Reynolds has finally addressed the popular internet rumor surrounding Taylor Swift’s potential appearance in Deadpool 3. While Reynolds did not confirm any of the rumors, he also didn’t deny them, leaving fans with a sense of hope. His response was similar to his director Shawn Levy, and shared that all will be revealed on July 26, 2024, when the film is scheduled for release.
The rumor suggests that Swift might be cast as the character Dazzler in the movie. The Swift-Dazzler speculation has been ongoing since 2016 when it was rumored that she would play the character in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Ryan Reynolds Did Not Deny Taylor Swift’s Involvement In Deadpool 3
The buzz around Taylor Swift joining Deadpool 3 gained momentum after the Anti-Hero singer was spotted in the company of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy. The group attended an NFL game in October to cheer Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Swift has long been a favorite among comic book movie fans to portray the mutant superhero Dazzler.
Reynolds was asked about the potential involvement of the Cruel Summer singer when he appeared for an interview with the Vancouver Sun. While the Free Guy actor acknowledged the rumors with enthusiasm, he maintained an air of secrecy. Reynolds added that all secrets and spoilers would be revealed once the film hits the theaters. The Adam Project actor told the Vancouver Sun:
“Yeah, I’ve heard that one. I love it (the gossip). I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26.”
Deadpool 3 has kept much of its casting details under wraps, leaving fans to speculate about the surprise appearances. Apart from Swift, several X-Men and other Marvel characters are rumored to appear, including Channing Tatum’s new version of Gambit. Jennifer Garner will also potentially make a Marvel return, reprising her role as Elektra Natchios.
Taylor Swift’s Dazzler Appearance Is More Possible Than Ever

There are a number of reasons for this, but for one, both Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy did not deny the rumor when asked about it. Levy was asked about Swift’s appearance when he appeared on the SiriusXM podcast, and he gave a very cryptic answer like Reynolds, stating:
“Is this an answer that um a lot of the internet rumors are completely false but some of them aren’t… If there’s one consistency to everything I do is I like to posit a little bit of hope.”
Another factor is the relationship between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, Reynold’s wife. The Green Lantern actor could potentially use the longstanding friendship to influence Swift into taking on the role. If Reynolds and Levy pitch the idea of Swift as Dazzler to Marvel, they might find at least one super-interested person. Kevin Feige, the studio head, is a huge fan of the Dazzler character and would likely be thrilled if the Shake It Off singer came on board.
