Ryan Reynolds is one of the top acting talents in the film industry and has made quite a name for himself for being Deadpool. Many fans reckon that Reynolds is in fact the perfect embodiment of the popular Marvel character, relating the actors’ antics to his superhero counterpart.
Reynolds once mentioned that his character was an ‘a**hole‘, and much like his on-screen character, he described his past self as an ‘a**hole‘ too. But unlike Deadpool, the actor is certainly not proud of his past self and deeply regrets his behavior.

Ryan Reynolds Regrets Being An ‘A**hole’ In The Past

Ryan Reynolds is notorious for his ‘fun’ personality and is one of the quirkiest human beings in the film industry thanks to his witty sense of humor. Always in the news for his funny remarks, he is known to be a riot on set.
As for his famous on-screen character, Deadpool, the actor once described him as an ‘a**hole‘ (via Be Asia). It is also the character that fans relate to his off-screen personality the most. And during a press conference (via Dread Central), the actor might have just proved that he (more like his old self), was really an ‘a**hole‘ just like Wade Wilson.
“When I was a kid around nine or ten I was a complete a**hole! I would run around the neighborhood on Halloween throwing firecrackers into people’s mailboxes. We were just these little hellraisers. I’m so terrified that I’m going to have sons one day that behave this way. So, I’m sure I have a lot to atone for if there is a Judgement Day. It’s going to be a long list for me. It goes right up to when I was about eighteen and then I straightened out.”
Well, the actor seems to have really turned his behavior around and is now among the most well-liked actors and celebrities in all of Hollywood.
This Isn’t The Only Thing Ryan Reynolds Regrets
Over the years, Ryan Reynolds has had enough regrets, but his biggest one is probably doing Green Lantern. His first superhero role before Deadpool was heavily criticized by critics and scrutinized for being devoid of any real personality.
While talking to Jimmy Fallon, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor stated,
“I really wish someone from a gin company called me right after Green Lantern and was like, ‘Hey, I got something funny you can do as an answer to that!”
Reynolds even took a dig at his decision to do the movie through a mid-credit scene in Deadpool 2, where his character travels back in time to find him reading the script of the Green Lantern movie. Deadpool then shoots the actor in the head and states,
“You’re welcome, Canada.”
Well, only Ryan Reynolds can brutally roast himself the way he does, proving that not only is he an exceptional actor but also a master of self-deprecating humor.
