There have been several videos surfacing on the internet that feature Luffy’s difficult run through New York City. Despite being escorted by so many people, the balloon ran into a street light. The sound of Luffy meeting its demise would’ve been quite loud, and it could’ve shocked the audience as they gasped in anticipation of the worst. Luckily, Luffy was able to dust off this wreck without deflation, but it was not as lucky.

The photos taken from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade feature several images of One Piece’s protagonist with a massive hole in his hat. The images show the front part of his hat being completely deflated. The hole ripped the seam of the balloon, as seen in the images, and it seems like Toei Animation will have to send Luffy off for a fix. However, the only part of Luffy that is deflating is his hat for now.
