Quoting a post on X about the craziest thing a man has ever said while trying to flirt, Pearce mentioned an inconvenient request made to her by a fellow content creator. Pearce did mention that it was a popular content creator who had once texted her in a drunken state in the guise of a baby, requesting her to feed and change him.

The disgusting part about the request was the amount of detail that the requestor had gone into in just one sentence. Pearce decided not to reply and dropped it immediately and only decided to share the incident now. Pearce also responded to another fan about it who insisted the person be named rather than having him protected.

To this, Pearce responded by saying the text was just too “cringy” and that the person in question did not sexually harass her or hurt her. Pearce clarified that it wasn’t worth naming the person and dismissed it as being “overly forward about a weird kink” which she considered isn’t dangerous. Pearce also revealed about being a victim of “actual harassment” herself, and that the text, though unsavory, wasn’t anywhere close to that.

Back in 2017, Pearce was working for IGN when she joined a staff walkout in support of sexual harassment allegations made by a colleague.

About almost a decade back, Pearce was in the news for famously reaching out to the mothers of some of the trolls online who had sent sexual threats to her. Pearce had received the threats on Facebook and when she realized they were not from grown men but teenagers, Pearce managed to figure out their mothers and send them screenshots of the threats.

Pearce is also known for having written a blog in Kotaku back in 2013 about a bunch of sexist comments received on the videos that she produced for several YouTube channels. Pearce had been hosting a TV show for Xbox Australia and producing videos to report on news and also to review and host events, and interview developers.

The blog has since been deleted but an archived copy is still available on the Internet Archive website. Pearce has posted several screenshots of wildly sexist comments due to which Pearce revealed to have felt extremely uncomfortable producing her videos on YouTube. Pearce has her own YouTube channel now with over 600 Thousand subscribers and a Twitch channel as well.

Pearce joining Santa Monica Studio was also met with several abusive messages when God of War Ragnarok was delayed. When trolls sent her abusive messages linking her hiring to the Dev team to the sequel’s delay, Pearce took to X to post screenshots of the ugly comments. The fact that Pearce had joined the team at the very end of the Ragnarok project was revealed by Creative Director Cory Barlog who showed his complete support to Pearce and blamed himself for the delay.

While the more recent drunken text message by a fellow content creator is dismissed by Pearce, she continues to voice her opinion whenever the unforgiving trolls try to get on her nerves with ugly messages. Pearce was nominated for Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards back in 2020 and is a well-known face in the gaming community now. She continues to show her strength while dealing with abusers in her unique ways every time she comes across them.
