Kohei Horikoshi’s Original Puppet for All for One
Initially in the story, it was suspected that Toru Hagakure, also known as the invisible girl was the traitor who was relaying information to All for One, but the story changed when another character was revealed to be the traitor. Yuga Aoyama’s traitorous behavior towards UA Academy was exposed before the manga’s pivotal battle.
All For One had given Yuga his quirk, and he was using it to tell All For One what was going on, not only to get even but also to save his parents. Yuga found himself in a difficult situation where he had to choose between betraying everyone and saving his parents from the terrifying All For One since All For One had threatened to remove him and his family from the map.
However, during this year’s Jump Festa, Kohei disclosed that he was planning to use another character as the traitor who was not a student. Horikoshi proposed that he create a puppet out of Naomasa Tsukauchi for All For One. But, after seeing Naomasa’s persona, fans grew overly wary of him, which is why Horikoshi altered the narrative.
Who is Naomasa Tsukauchi in My Hero Academia?
Naomasa Tsukauchi, a.k.a. True Man is a Police Force detective. Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi is a sincere, diligent man who has proven himself worthy of All Might’s close friendship. He has earned so much that All Might has given him the truth about One For All and the latter’s actual form.
Naomasa may play a supporting role in the main series, but he plays a significant role in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, the franchise’s side story. In the main story, Naomasa does not have much important role despite being a detective in the Police Force, but still, his presence is felt because of his frequent appearances in the series.
Initially, Horikoshi planned to make Naomasa the puppet of All for One, and it would have been the perfect development of the story, but looking at Naomasa’s characteristics fans became various of the character and connected the dots about him being the traitor, which led to Horikoshi changing the story after all.
