Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most well-liked shonen series that has been massively popular worldwide. Since the anime adaptation, the series has gained enormous popularity, and this popularity has only increased over time. The message hinted that Jujutsu Kaisen’s appearance at Jump Festa this year may be their last, as the show is likely to conclude in 2024. This message received a mixed reaction from fans as while some were disappointed to hear the news, some fans were happy that they finally got to see the conclusion of the series. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen would undoubtedly want to watch the series for as long as possible, but they are disappointed by Akutami’s message. However, examining previous works, numerous manga authors have declared that they will conclude the series by a specific date, only to find that it takes longer than anticipated. Two notable examples of this are Eiichiro Oda and Kohei Horikoshi.

Akutami even made the same announcement at Jump Festa the previous year, indicating that Jujutsu Kaisen might come to an end in 2023. Since Akutami hasn’t always been accurate in predicting the conclusion of their work, fans have some hope that the series will go on past 2024 and might even introduce a new antagonist who could completely change the course of the narrative.
