Ned Luke has been engaging with the GTA community for a while with livestreams doing playthroughs of GTA 5, and while it has mostly been good, he got himself in trouble last month when he was swatted during a livestream on Twitch. However, he was calm, and soon everything got sorted. Now the actor has been swatted again today, and this time while he was streaming on YouTube.

The latest swatting incident happened while he was playing Grand Theft Auto 5‘s story mode on YouTube livestream and got a call about the incident. He took the call and informed the viewers on the stream that he was getting swatted again saying, “I’m getting swatted isn’t that great.” He added that he would be right back, and left for a while leaving the stream unattended to take care of the situation.

He got back and revealed that the swatting attempt did not work and applauded the perpetrator for trying before adding that it’s “just another day in the neighborhood.” He then continued his livestream for about an hour or so before ending it. While Luke handled the situation very calmly, fans were enraged to see something like this happening to him and that too for the second time.

Swatting has been a major issue for streamers for quite a while now, where unknown people call the police with the address of an innocent person claiming that something illegal is happening and the police arrive at the place heavily armed. This has been happening too often, but doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

The first swatting incident happened to Luke last month on Thanksgiving in almost the same fashion. The actor received a call when he was streaming GTA Online on Twitch and he was told that he was getting swatted. He was calm then too and had abruptly ended the stream before going to deal with the situation. The actor also spoke about the incident with a long statement on X/Twitter.

He had revealed that it was his sixth time getting swatted and thanked his fans for the concern, saying that everybody in his family is fine. He had also said that the authorities have got evidence and are behind the one who did this and he very well knows that they want to shut him down. He added that he is well prepared for this, and will continue to do his thing. He also revealed that his personal information was leaked a long time back and Rockstar Games is not to be blamed.

The GTA community reacted to the incident of Ned Luke getting swatted again and said that whoever is doing this to him needs to be charged and be behind bars. Many also questioned the motives of the person responsible, wondering why would they want to target Luke. Although it can not be said for certain why, it is great to see Luke dealing with these things so calmly.

Swatting incidents have risen dramatically in the last few years and while it is not possible to completely put an end to this, or easily apprehend the ones responsible, something needs to be done to save streamers against this malicious and harmful act. It is a serious issue that can have potential consequences such as trauma, and sometimes even death.
