PlayStation gamers should check their loyalty points as Sony has started rewarding players for their holiday purchases. Several players were left wondering last month after making PlayStation Store purchases and ended up getting no PS Stars points for their purchases.
While some of the players received the reward points immediately and some later on, most are now reporting an influx of loyalty points received over the past couple of days. Reddit discussion groups are filled with players sharing points received and the ones who haven’t received any yet. Sony is rectifying the issue and handing players their due points which should reflect in their accounts over the next couple of days.
Your PS Stars Points Should Get Credited Soon

Several players are reporting getting an influx of PS Stars points for their purchases made on the PS Store over the past month. For each $1 spent, Sony credits players with 10 PS Stars points. These can then be exchanged for free games or in-store currency to purchase games and DLCs.
Since several PlayStation gamers received nothing right after making purchases last month, there are reports of these points getting credited all at once. There are still several of them reporting on the contrary as well, having received nothing yet even after spending hundreds of dollars on the Holiday deals.
Players who haven’t received any points back yet have taken over several Reddit forums posting the money spent and the points expected that have not been credited yet. One of the Redditors claimed having purchased five games on the PS Store between the 28th of December and the 3rd of this month for which points were credited for the last game that was purchased. When checked with the Support team, the Redditor was asked to wait for a fortnight for the points to be credited.
Another gamer from Germany, however, reported spending $20 and receiving 180 points right away, while a reply to the same comment from another German gamer was that there were no points credited to them. Given the fact that it was a busy holiday season as always, Sony seems to be rectifying the issues and crediting the points over the past few days.
How to Join the PlayStation Stars Program to Earn Credits

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners can sign up for a PlayStation Network (PSN) account for free to become a member first. Once that’s done, there’s a PlayStation mobile app for iOS and Android that needs to be downloaded and signed in.
Players can then start completing PlayStation Stars campaigns to earn points in PS Stars. The second way to earn points is by subscribing to a PlayStation Plus membership to earn points for eligible purchases made on the PlayStation Store.
The points can be tracked on the PlayStation app and accrued points can be redeemed by accessing the Rewards Catalog on the PS App. These points can be redeemed to purchase digital collectibles, games, or PSN wallet funds.
The PlayStation website has a Support page for players who made purchases but don’t see any points credited to their account yet. Since players are now getting their due points after a long delay, it’s not a bad idea to sit tight and keep an eye out over the weekend.
