Without a doubt, FromSoftware’s 2022 game, Elden Ring, is one of the most popular action role-playing games of all time. With an open-world game with gameplay similar to FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series, the game was well-received by the fans for its engaging game mechanics, characters, and stunning visuals.
Since the game is so big, it is very common for gamers to often miss out on some action-packed battles, particularly these 5 bosses. While playing Elden Ring, if you have not come across these 5 bosses then you should definitely go back to them as your Elden Ring experience remains incomplete. Here is a list of these 5 terrifying bosses:
1) Royal Revenant

As a Field Boss, the Royal Revenant is a terrifying combo of humanoids and arachnids. With its many limbs, this boss is very quick. Since this boss is optional, many gamers miss out but if you are interested in fighting this creature, you can head to the cellar of Kingsrealm Ruins in north-western Liurnia of the Lakes, there you can find the Revenanent guarding a chest containing the Frozen Needle.
2) Decaying Ekzykes

This Greater Foe Boss in Elden Ring is basically a dying dragon that is infected with Scarlet Rot. This boss is also optional but it provides useful Items as well as Runes upon defeat. In order to find this creature, gamers can go directly southeast of the Caelid Highway South Site of Grace. This boss is extremely susceptible to Fire, so any fire damage will weaken the creature quickly.

If you have not battled Astel, Naturalborn of the Void then you must do so as defeating this boss will unlock a different ending. This Legend Boss has a stronger version, Astel, Stars of Darkness, which is also optional. To find this boss, go to the Grand Cloister Site of Grace and walk in the west direction until the path ends, then carefully drop down the broken ledges to the floor below. Cross the river of Scarlet Rot and then walk in the west direction, then south until you spot a coffin. Ride the coffin to a room in front of Astel’s fog gate.
4) Lichdragon Fortissax

The Lichdragon Fortissax is a Legend Boss that is a four-winged black dragon that wields powerful lightning attacks and is found in Deeproot Depths. Triggering this optional boss battle is a little complex but definitely worth it: First defeat Fia’s Champions and then give Fia the Cursemark of Death, talk to her three times, and reload the area. After this, interact with her corpse and choose to “Enter the Deathbed Dream.”
