Deadpool 3 has easily become one of the most anticipated and hyped films of all time. Ryan Reynolds’ character is one of the most beloved characters from Marvel, with both his films being fan favorites. With this, all eyes seem to be on what this third film will bring, not only in terms of characters but for the franchise as a whole. This is why recently leaked pictures from the set of this movie have fans going crazy. While part of this is the fact that they get to see Hugh Jackman adorn the comic-accurate suit, the bigger reason for the enthusiasm is something else altogether.

4) Ultimate Deadpool

Wadey Wilson from Earth-1610 is a sinister supervillain who stands out because of his thirst for mutant blood. This variant of the Merc with a Mouth has a knack for hunting and killing mutants on live television, lacking humor which is a core part of the mainstream version of this character. His motivation to do this is simply because he wants to make sure they meet the most horrifying end imaginable. His true face had no skin and parts of his skull were missing, only covered by a clear plastic helmet that made his face appear human-shaped when masked.

With his motivation being only that of seeing an end to all mutants, he could be used as an introduction to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the story of Deadpool 3, trying to help Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool deal with him.

3) Deadpool 2099

Warda Wilson is the daughter of Wade Wilson and is certainly one of the better-known superheroes from Earth-2099. Though she hates her father, she does not mind taking on his name as the Merc with a Mouth. Because this film is supposed to be one of the most important films of Marvel’s current Multiverse Saga it would be a good opportunity for them to link the MCU to the Sony Marvel Universe. They could provide a sort of crossover between Deadpool 3 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, more specifically, Wilson and Miguel O’Hara.

2) Lady Deadpool

Wanda Wilson from Earth-3010 is the female counterpart of the Wade Wilson audiences are familiar with. She is a member of the resistance fighting against a fascist state led by an evil Variant of Steve Rogers. She also sacrificed herself to protect the multiverse from the Evil Deadpool Corps, a group with evil variants of the Merc with a Mouth, like Ultimate Deadpool and Dreadpool. She could work with Ryan Reynold’s character and Wolverine to save the multiverse from this group of supervillains.

1) Dreadpool

Wade Wilson from Earth-12101 is one of the most dangerous variants of this character. Having formed and led the Evil Deadpool Corps before it was brought down, he once went insane and killed the entire Marvel Universe in the iconic comic, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. Considering his most recent quest was that of killing all alternative versions of himself, he would certainly make a worthy opponent to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s characters. He could also break the fourth wall in a way that would be unsettling for audiences.
