Elden Ring is full of memorable moments that’ll stick with gamers for years, whether it be that time you killed the final boss or the first time you managed to defeat a dragon. There are plenty of moments in the game that fill you with joy, but what about anger?
Throughout Elden Ring, there’ll always be moments that have slowed down each and every player, whether they be story bosses, open world bosses, or just general enemies who should be promoted to bosses, but according to some Elden Ring players, it’s hard to choose which three bosses are the hardest to handle.
What Bosses Has the Elden Ring Community Put Forward for Contention in This Discussion?
As stated above, not all bosses in Elden Ring are tough, and not all basic enemies are easy, and many members of the Elden Ring community know this all too well. As for anyone who has played the game, there will assuredly be a few select enemies you’d wish were never created in the first place.
However, thanks to a recent Reddit thread, there has been some discussion as to what ‘bosses‘ are the hardest in Elden Ring, and it’s safe to say that the player in charge of the thread is either making a joke or had a lot of skill against real bosses but struggled against bog standard enemies.
According to Reddit user MartinStnv, there are three separate characters within Elden Ring that deserve the title of hardest bosses, but whether the gaming community agrees or not is a completely different factor, as many gamers had some choice words for these selections.
In this Reddit post, MartinStnv stated that they feel the three hardest bosses in Elden Ring are the Castle Sol Knights, Moongrum Carian Knights, and the Crucible Knights. Understandably, many gamers won’t agree with these selections, but that being said, there’s some worth to this discussion as all three of these enemies are formidable opponents.
Whether you’re encountering the Castle Sol Knights and his twin blades, which come at you with such speed and uniqueness, or the Moongrum Carian Knight, as he uses his sword and spell-casting staff to assail you from afar and close up, or finally the Crucible Knights and their rhino-horned shields and beast-like attacks,.
These enemies are formidable in their own right, as most of the time they are positioned in locations in which you begin to let your guard down before they strike and deal the final blow, but there are some clearly stronger enemies who can easily take the crown.
What Other Bosses Have Been Mentioned During This Discussion, and Why Are They Tougher Than the Previous Enemies?
Throughout the entirety of Elden Ring, there are plenty of enemy types and bosses that players will love to hate. But there are some characters that you cannot help but hate due to their ridiculous hardness and overall chaos, which makes them a daunting task to take on.
One of the more obvious answers would be Malenia Blade of Miquella, who is considered one of the toughest boss fights you could ever experience in a Souls-like game. What makes this even more interesting is the fact that she is entirely optional and doesn’t require completion, which for those who spend hours, days, and months trying to beat her can feel rather anti-climactic.
Another boss that will have most likely slowed you down on your journey is Starscourge Radahn, as he rides his little horse on the wailing wastes as he waits to destroy you, your summons, and the planet as his meteor strikes back into the ground after a good few tries.
These are two of the more obvious bosses that players could choose from to be some of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring, but it seems this topic on Reddit is more focused on the humorous aspect of the debate than being serious, which explains why these characters are picked rather than the main cast of bosses.
