Johnson, who is making her MCU debut with Madame Web, releasing this Valentine’s week, once revealed how all those s*x scenes were done. She offered some sneak peek into the uns*xy secrets behind filming the s*x scenes.
Dakota Johnson Revealed Thongs Were Superglued to Her Body While Filming Fifty Shades Freed
You might enjoy those very intimate scenes between Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dorman in the Fifty Shades trilogy. But they had done those scenes with the help of some uns*xy mean.
In an interview with Marie-Claire, the 34-year-old actress spoke about how it was done while filming the third and final installment of the erotic movie franchise. It was “never easy” to film those steamy scenes, Johnson revealed. She had to wear strapless thongs that covered her unmentionables — undergarments that needed to be superglued to her body.
“I had these sort of strapless thongs that had glue on them. It’s not glue, but it’s sticky. They’re, like, basically if it were a nipple pastie, but underwear. But it’s only sticky at the top, it’s not sticky the whole way,” she said. “It would also come off because the adhesive would wear out, so then they would superglue it to my body so that it wouldn’t fall off. And I would wear two of them.”
“It’s not painful, I mean, it’s barely anything. But I guess you have some sense of being covered,” she added. “It’s fu*king bizarre.”
While Johnson had to film a lot of difficult scenes for the franchise over the years, she said that the hardest one was hands down the Red Room sex scene with Dornan.
Dakota Johnson Said Filming Fifty Shades Movies Was ‘Psychotic‘
She is known for speaking her mind. Dakota Johnson told Vanity Fair that filming the Fifty Shades movies was “psychotic.”
“If I had known at the time that’s what it was going to be like, I don’t think anyone would’ve done it,” Johnson admitted to Vanity Fair. “It would’ve been like, ‘Oh, this is psychotic.’“
But she doesn’t regret being part of the trilogy.
“No. I don’t think it’s a matter of regret,” she said. “But no, I don’t regret it.“
Johnson played Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) and its sequels, Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018). The films are based on E.L. James’ erotic novels of the same name. Though the franchise was critically panned, it grossed over $1.32 billion worldwide.
