The Elden Ring DLC update is finally here after almost a year after it was initially announced. The latest update from Bandai Namco on X has already amassed over 14 million views. The announcement stated that the first trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on February 22, 2024.
This led to a full-scale meltdown amongst fans as they clamored for more information. The official Elden Ring account on X commented on their own post to give fans some added information regarding what to expect in the trailer launch.
Elden Ring had previously had one DLC back in December 2022. Later next year in February, FromSoftware announced that Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is in the works. Now, after almost a year of no updates, the first trailer announcement has led to a major fan frenzy.
The Elden Ring DLC Update Is Finally Here
For about a year, fans have been eagerly waiting for news and updates from Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team regarding the Elden Ring DLC. But, FromSoftware kept their cards close to their chests with little to no official information regarding the DLC being available for gamers.
Yusiharo Kitao had recently spoken to the press regarding Shadow of the Erdtree. While he did stress that the studio is hard in works to publish the DLC, his answers were evasive when asked about the DLC itself.
Now with the official post from the Elden Ring account on X, fans can finally rest knowing they will get to learn something soon.
Shadow of the Erdtree To Arrive Soon?
So far there has been no news regarding the launch of the DLC. But that can all be set to change with the release of the first trailer of the much-awaited Elden Ring DLC. There is no doubt that fans and critics all across the globe will be tuning in to the release of the trailer to see for themselves what FromSoftware has been cooking over the last year.
The trailer might give fans the answer that everybody has been looking for – the release date of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. While the post on X fails to mention that, it does mention that it will be a 3-minute presentation. Ample time to announce a tentative release date.
Whether a release date is indeed announced will be clear once the trailer launches. But for now, fans are waiting with rapt attention as FromSoftware finally gets the wheels in motion.
