Whether the players are fighting on a modern or a World War-esque battlefield, Call of Duty players can never get enough of the German bolt-action marksman rifle Kar98. Success may have been uncertain for these games, but the classic weapon has been a constant since 2003.
It’s making a return in the upcoming season of Modern Warfare 3 again. Given that the weapon deals high damage, it has become popular among players, especially those seeking agility along with a satisfactory range.
That Doesn’t Look Like the One from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
While companies might be trying to kill the franchise with their similar-looking games, the popular military shooter is killing it in its own way. Players are getting the infamous Kar98, whose gameplay was recently leaked on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
A user called Nixstah took to his handle and shared a clip where the player was seen busy killing the rivals in fast-paced gameplay. The intensity of the clip can lead anyone into believing that whoever’s playing might be using an aimbot, which some users actually did.

Apart from that, fans argued over the version of the weapon showcased in the clip, and they didn’t seem to show any exhilaration towards it. Honcho gaming doubts that the weapon will be able to get ‘One Shot, One Kill‘.
I’m curious to see how it does in warzone. I feel like it’s not going to one shot

Players will be able to find the latest blueprint during the season, notably Chem Threat. Some of the popular blueprints of the weapon include Serenity, Stabistor, Radionuclide, and more.
Another World War 2-Era Weapon Will Be Accompanying the Kar98
The gun is likely to be a version players saw in Vanguard a couple of years ago, which might let down the players expecting it to be a variant shown in 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot. It was previously speculated that the weapon will be pulled straight out of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s armory.
To accompany the rifle, another WW2-era weapon, STG44, might return in Season 4. Akin to the marksman rifle, STG44 has also been a part of several other Call of Duty video games in the past, including Black Ops, Advanced Warfare, Vanguard, and more.
Players will have a chance to acquire around 20 blueprints of different weapons, divided among three main themes: scientific, high-tech, and hazardous. Other than weapons, Call of Duty is collaborating with Mobile Suit Gundam, introducing three new bundles associated with it.
There’s also the tracer pack with Emoting Ultra Skin, which’ll actually take a player on a horror ride. However, the skins in the pack are pretty much opposite and radiate some positive vibes, unlike the unnerving faces.
