He-Man, aka Prince Adam, is a superhero based on Mattel’s Masters of the Universe franchise. Besides having a celebrated toy line, it has also spawned several comic books, animated series, and even a live-action movie with Dolph Lundgren.

Before being greenlit by Amazon MGM Studios, the forthcoming Masters of the Universe reboot film was in the making at Warner Bros., Sony, and Netflix. When the film was at Warner Bros., Noah Centineo was attached to it. Later, Kyle Allen was also considered when it moved to Netflix.

According to Variety, the Nicholas Galitzine starrer will be produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch, with Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner. It will follow Mattel’s plan of 15 live-action films after the worldwide success of Barbie. However, the fans are highly divided on the casting of Galitzine.
