The current Major Order in Helldivers 2 will put an end to a Terminid supercolony on Meridia planet in the Umlaut Sector. Players have been ordered to inject Dark Fluid into the planet’s core to destroy it through implosion. This will completely wipe out the planet but will also destroy the Terminid faction from its core. Some players are finding it difficult to complete these missions, but a player has pointed out that they can use these 3 weapons to take down the Terminid threats.
The drills require some time to inject the Dark Fluid into the core and Terminid enemies try their best to take it down. While fighting off these enemies, players also need to make sure that they don’t accidentally destroy the drills. These missions require coordination and planning as it is not like regular missions where players could call in an Eagle 500KG Bomb to wipe out enemies.
A Helldivers 2 player suggested that players could use these 3 weapons to complete the new Major Order
To complete the current Major Order, Helldivers 2 players need to inject Dark Fluids into Meridia’s core using drills. These drills are so fragile that players need to avoid using any explosive firearms around them. It can get tricky to take down Terminids that are very close to the drills, but in this Reddit post shared on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit, a player has suggested that half of a squad should have Stratagems/weapons to deal with heavy enemies ,while the other half of a squad should use stun Stratagems/weapons.
The player has mentioned that the community should use the EMS Mortar Sentry, Stun grenades, and EMS Orbital Strike.
Players have highlighted that everyone should utilize the EMS Mortar Sentry as it significantly slows down enemies from reaching the drill. Another Stratagem that players love right now is the Tesla Tower. When placed next to the drill, the Tesla Tower takes care of all the enemies that try to take it out.
Will this Major Order trigger the Illuminate invasion?
The Dark Fluid that Helldivers are currently injecting into Meridia’s crust was obtained from the Illuminate faction during the First Galactic War. There are several theories that this Major Order would trigger the Illuminate invasion. Nonetheless, destroying Meridia would completely wipe out Terminids, so that’s one less threat that players need to worry about.
Gamers have been requesting Arrowhead to add new content to the game for a while now, and hopefully, with the introduction of the Illuminate, fans will also get new weapons and Stratagems. Helldivers 2 has been losing its fanbase at an alarming rate due to a lack of new content, so it is about time Arrowhead adds this new alien faction to the game.
