Alec Baldwin announces a new reality TV series featuring his wife of 12 years Hilaria Baldwin and their seven kids. The show, titled The Baldwins, will air on TLC in 2025. The timing of the announcement has caught some attention as Baldwin awaits trial in the involuntary manslaughter of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Fans were not at all kind to Baldwin as the news reached them via social media.
Fans came up with memes and outright hurtful comments to point out that the TV series was a PR stunt to improve his image during the trial. If convicted of manslaughter, Baldwin could spend up to 18 months in prison.
Fans Brutally Criticize Alec Baldwin’s New TLC Reality Series
On Tuesday, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin took to Instagram to announce their new reality TV series, The Baldwins, airing on TLC in 2025. The couple shared that the series will explore their chaotic home, including seven growing kids. Alec and Hilaria Baldwin welcomed their seventh child, daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena, in September 2022 (via Us Weekly).
The video posted to Baldwin and TLC’s official Instagram page showed the seven children running around the house and wreaking havoc. In one of the scenes, the SNL star struggles to get ahold of his kids, while stating to the camera, “We are the Baldwins, and we’re going to TLC! God help you all.”
Fans on social media are not at all happy that Baldwin is taking after the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Kim Kardashian, by exposing his family life to the public. The timing is especially what irks them as the actor stands trial in relation to the accidental shooting on his movie set, Rust. Fans accused the Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation actor of initiating a PR campaign to save his image.
One fan took a dig at the shooting incident and added that Baldwin wanted his shot at fame. Another shared that it was clearly a move to clean up his image, which was the only reason he brought the kids into the picture. One fan shared that no one will be watching Baldwin’s PR show, while another fan was irritated at the celebrities’ “fancy version of family vlogging”. Some of the fan reactions read:
I get it. He's gotta shoot his shot.

According to Baldwin, the series will show the ups and downs of his life and may probably discuss the accidental shooting and its impact on his life. Baldwin’s history with media attention to his personal life hasn’t been great. In 1995, Baldwin allegedly assaulted a paparazzo who tried to videotape his then-wife Kim Basinger and their three-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin (via PEOPLE).
