Fortnite has been around for a few years and the developers have created a handful of iconic cosmetic items, a large collection of back bling, pickaxes, and gliders but the latest one takes the crown. The collaboration with Marvel allowed the developers to get even more creative.
Epic Games teamed up with Marvel Entertainment and featured several famous characters from the X-Men world. The gaming community is being spoiled with this sort of content and the latest glider could be the best one yet and it could be the first of many more.
Fortnite Players Are Convinced the Newest Glider Is One for the Books
Epic Games has hosted some great crossovers over the past few seasons and Chapter 5 Season 3 featured many original characters and iconic villains from different franchises. Ever since the massive surge of popularity thanks to the Disney+ animated series X-Men ’97, Erik Lensherr’s Magneto has been given the attention he deserves in Fortnite and made it to the battle pass of the latest season.
The mutant abilities of the master of magnetism have given the developers enough material to work with and get creative. The developers worked on a unique glider that only made the villain look even more menacing and will likely strike fear into the hearts of enemy players.
Even non-players were impressed by this new glider and the developers have only scratched the surface. More and more X-Men-related content is set to be released later this month and Epic Games wouldn’t want to be the last to jump aboard the hype train and will piggyback on its success. New leaks of a Wolverine outfit have surfaced and only time will tell which other mutants will be featured in the game.
Perhaps this new glider will attract the gaming community and is good enough to convince them to grab it from the item shop. Magnetic Steps Glider is a prime example of the team’s creativity.
Magneto Is About to Descend and Walk Amongst the Humans in Fortnite
It will only be a matter of time before other members of the X-Men will appear in the game and take their rightful place. Earlier reports suggest that another wave of X-Men ’97 skins will make their way to the in-game item shop and it is perfect for the fans.
These cosmetic items may not mean much to the average player but fans of the character will likely appreciate it and will most likely buy it if need be. Epic Games is smart enough to read the gaming community and realize which content is enough to excite them.
This collaboration was inevitability and fans are eager to see it happen and the developers are making sure everything is up to standard. The glider is hyping up the character’s omega-level threat status pretty nicely.
Magneto is an omnipotent character from the Marvel comics and it is only right for Epic Games to keep it that way. New mythic items inspired by the lore will likely follow through.
