In a not so busy year for PlayStation, Stellar Blade, the PS5 exclusive title from Shift Up has been a huge success. The game has received mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike and has sold really well too.
The game was praised for its combat, story, and graphics among other things. Stellar Blade is fun but launched without a couple of couples such as as Photo Mode and Boss rush and while they’re coming, fans now want one more thing.
Stellar Blade Fans Want an Artbook for the Game
Despite the controversy around Eve and her looks in the game, Shift Up’s title exceeded sales expectations and sold over 1 million copies in under two months. Stellar Blade also topped the best-selling game chart for April 2024, beating titles like Helldivers 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The developer is also considering to make a sequel for the game but nothing is confirmed yet. Players are now demanding that the developer and Sony should bring an artbook for the game as one player shared a post on the game’s subreddit saying, “I need it bad, day one buy.”

Fans have added that they were surprised when the game did not launch with an artbook or a soundtrack, adding, “For how awesome this game is that kind of surprised me.” Players are right in asking for an artbook as one of the aspects of the game that’s highly rated is its art design and visuals.

The character and enemy designs in the game have been a hot topic of discussion and players would love to get an artbook. Artbooks are usually out after one or two years of game release so it is possible that Stellar Blade too may get one in the future.
Photo Mode Is Coming to Stellar Blade Soon
While players wait and wonder if they will get an artbook or not, another of the requested features, Photo Mode, will soon be coming to the game. The Boss Rush mode is already available and was added with the May update.
This was the first update in the game since launch and added the Boss Rush mode with new outfits. It also brought some new features, QoL improvements, and more.
As for the Photo Mode, it is currently in development and will possibly be rolled out with the next major update. Photo Mode in games have become very popular in the last few years and Stellar Blade launched without one.
The spectacular visuals in the game led to fans asking Shift Up to add it to the game. Game director Kim Hyung-Tae has told that the team is working and want to exceed expectations with it.
