There’s no doubt that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the best games of 2023. Peter Parker and Miles Morales might have managed to save New York City from Kraven and Venom, but their adventures aren’t over yet.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 left a lot of questions unanswered about what comes next. While many hoped that a DLC would expand upon the game, some believe that Insomniac leaks might’ve axed entirely any possibility of an expansion.
Fans Believe There Won’t Be Any Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLCs Due to Leaks

Taking a respectable 17-20 hours to beat its main story and around 25-29 hours to earn the Platinum, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 isn’t a short game by any means, but it isn’t as long as many AAA games tend to be these days.
Due to the game’s brief length, players had been hoping that the developers would deliver a DLC that could give the game a new burst of life.
Unfortunately, Insomniac Games was hit with a ransomware attack last year, which saw the developer’s plans for the next decade spread all across the internet for everyone to see. Ever since that incident, the studio has been quiet about its upcoming projects, causing intense fear among Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 players about the game’s future.
It’s been eight months since the release of the game, and Insomniac still hasn’t announced any kind of DLC plans for the game. Many in the community believe any planned expansion for the game might’ve been canceled after the studio suffered from leaks.
Few in the community feel like the developers are redoing the entire expansion for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to maintain an element of surprise and ensure a polished experience.
Others feel like the studio has completely abandoned a DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and is focusing on the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to a DLC for a game like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It can extend the game’s life, keep players engaged, and generate additional revenue for the studio’s upcoming project. Let’s hope the developers do justice to Peter Parker and Miles Morales and give us something new to look forward to.
Insomniac Might Have Leaked Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Beetle DLC

While the studio still hasn’t announced any DLCs for the game, they might’ve accidentally leaked it. Back in March, the studio released a long-awaited 1.0002 update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, adding New Game Plus, a handful of new Spidey suits, and extra quality-of-life improvements.
However, something that Insomniac didn’t intend for fans to see in the update was the addition of a developer menu. This developer menu allowed gamers to access various builds of the title and to head directly to specific missions and activities.
Under the “Missions and Activities” page in the developer menu and the “Silver Path” tab, gamers came across various missions named “Beetle Villain Arc.” A classic Spidey enemy that’s been around for decades, Beetle can’t be found in the base Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game.
Due to this, fans and many players believe that the Beetle Villain is supposed to be the subject of an upcoming DLC for the game. However, Insomniac hasn’t commented on these leaks or their validity yet.
