Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was one of the great games of last year; Insomniac was able to maintain the quality of the first game and the Miles Morales title. This studio has built a very good reputation thanks to its latest games. The studio is currently working on Marvel’s Wolverine.
Unfortunately, this title leaked a playable beta version that was hacked from the servers of Insomniac Games. With the latest update to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that added New Game+ and more suits, some players discovered a development menu that may reveal a possible DLC.
Insomniac Games could be announcing a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC very soon
After two very solid games becoming the best Spider-Man games ever, the franchise that Insomniac created was the definitive Spidey experience for fans all over the world. With all the mechanics and features on point and an incredible story, Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the best superhero titles ever created.
The first Spider-Man launched in 2018 had several impressive DLCs, and apparently Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have expansions too.
Thanks to the new update on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players could now play a new game+ mode and test some new suits. But the most surprising thing that fans discovered was a developer menu that the game has that lets you see some information that you don’t have to see.
Apparently, information about a new villain arc was inside this menu. Specifically, Beetle Villain Arc: in the comics, the beetle is the daughter of Tombstone, who is a reformed villain in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so this could be a possibility.
Carnage could be a DLC too
In the main story of the game, a very popular character appears just at the end of a series of secondary missions. Spoilers ahead. Cletus Kasady makes a very surprising appearance in the game, leaving the door open to Carnage content in the future. This could be a DLC or even a new game. Insomniac Games never mentions a possible DLC for the character, but it is pretty obvious that it will appear in this universe soon enough.
Insomniac Games is very involved in the latest stages of development of Marvel’s Wolverine, which could announce a release date sometime this year to hit PS5 in 2025. Unfortunately, part of the game was leaked and even playable because of a hacker attack that the studio suffered last year. Players empathize with this and did not share this build to download very much.
Tell us what you think about this possible DLC.
