The Game Pass titles include games on Core, Standard, and Ultimate as well as PC Game Pass. While the Game Pass library is smaller than PS Plus, Xbox fans have come forward to defend the service and have mentioned the perks that the players on Xbox and PC get and PS Plus members don’t.

One player said that Game Pass has “more value” as players get new first-party game releases on Day One. Every Xbox title that releases for Series X|S also comes to the subscription service on the same day, and is available to members on both console and PC.

Another fan added that Xbox Game Pass has Redfall but PS Plus doesn’t. Redfall was developed by Arkane Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was released last year for PC and Xbox consoles, and is not available on PlayStation or PS Plus.

Xbox announced that starting on July 10, 2024, there will be price changes for new members subscribing to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Core, and PC Game Pass. The basic console tier is scraped and there will be a new option, Game Pass Standard, replacing it.

However, players who are already subscribed to Game Pass for Console and have automatic payment renewal enabled will retain their membership. The price changes for existing members will apply starting on September 12, 2024, and will be reflected in the next billing charge.

Despite some backlash around the price changes, fans have defended Game Pass and have said that it is better than PS Plus. There are also rumors that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 may also be coming to Game Pass soon that will add more value to the subscription service.
