Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series did bring uniqueness to the characters. From Vegeta’s Galick Gun to Goku’s Spirit Bomb, anyone would appreciate how developers did their work to bring those energetic moments from the series. But movement was slightly an issue in the game.

Characters echoed each other as far as the movement is concerned. Whether it’s Gohan or Piccolo, they felt like a user was controlling the same character using a different skin. The game felt like a video game. That is about to change with the upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi game.

That is what happens when a group of people come together to pour their best efforts into breathing life into something. The upcoming Bandai Namco game is one exemplar of it.

The game doesn’t exactly feel like a video game. Because Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero feels like watching an episode of anime. As several demo gameplay clips have emerged, the fans again were seen drooling over the details.

In a demo clip showcasing Super Saiyan 3 Goku using Super Dragon Twin Fist against Final Form Frieza, fans realized how unique these characters are. And not just concerning the attacks, but considering their personalities as a whole.

A fan who played both, Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi, agrees with the fact that “characters being clones” was indeed an issue.

Another fan chimed in to support the fact.

While Dragon Ball video games in the past may have done some fine work, the Spike Chunsoft game certainly nails it when individual character personality is concerned.

When a familiar thing pops up unexpectedly, especially after 17 years, it’s natural to have high hopes from it. But having insane standards that takes the expectations over the roof can transform into over criticism. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was under siege from such fans.

Those fans must see the clip, maybe it’ll hold their horses and allow them to see what goes in there. Fans aren’t calling it a peak game for no reason, the details it capture are seriously insane. Jun Furuya has suggested that it’s not just a casual game.

From Gogeta’s hand gestures to Goku’s warm up before engaging with Broly, it is safe to say that Spike Chunsoft certainly has an eye for details.

The game is coming with a character roster of 164 characters and it will be worthwhile how the developers have managed to make those fighters stand apart from one another.

91 days to go until the game arrives. Until then, fans should keep that speculation train running.
