When I got my first big paycheck and it’s been a few years I’ve been working as an actor for a few years. So I went back to Jersey with my dad and I thought, I wanted to treat myself, you know I haven’t actually got myself anything, we were discussing what to do with it. And he said, ‘how about a car?’

I was still driving my Peugeot 206, the first car I ever had. And I was thinking you know it’s time to upgrade this thing… We went to the local fancy garage and there was a number of nice cars there and the R8, the Audi R8 was the one which really stood out and I thought this is a great car, I was looking at it.

My dad was pausing around this other car, at the really nice section. And I was like ‘what are you doing over there?’ he was said, ‘I’m sticking with at this car’ and I was like ‘wow, yeah it’s really nice, one day huh’ and he goes [gestures at the car], and I was like ‘what do you mean?’ he went, ‘well I mean I’m sure we can make this work’.

And I was like, ‘it’s an Aston Martin DBS, you can’t just make this work. You can’t toy with my emotions’. Then he goes, ‘well, you know yeah. You think it, think about it, what car do you want? There are two different cars’ and I was like ‘I’m not thinking about anything. That’s an Aston Martin DBS’. So yeah that was my second car.
