In the grand scheme of intergalactic warfare in Helldivers 2, every diver’s contribution matters—even if that contribution is simply “existing.” As the battle for managed democracy rages on, some of our brave soldiers have been answering a different call.
They are venturing into the Lands Between to take on Elden Ring‘s latest offering, Shadow of the Erdtree. But fear not, for Super Earth’s generosity knows no bounds, and these errant Helldivers are finding themselves welcomed back with open arms and pockets full of medals.
Helldivers 2 Rewards Backseat Heroism
Reddit user TenesCross, fresh from their harrowing adventures in Elden Ring, shared a meme that perfectly captures the experience of returning to Helldivers 2 after an extended absence.
Shoutout to every helldivers

This humorous take on the situation highlights a unique aspect of Helldivers 2‘s reward system: even those who have been absent from the frontlines can still reap the benefits of their comrades’ hard work. It’s like being that one group project member who shows up only for the presentation but still gets an A+, ah, the sweet taste of unearned victory!
The post clearly struck a chord with fellow Divers, quickly amassing over 7.1K upvotes. Interestingly, TenesCross’s battle-worn state from their Elden Ring escapade was evident in more than just their virtual exploits.

Arrowhead‘s generous approach not only keeps players engaged but also fosters a sense of community, even among those who may take occasional breaks from the game. It’s a clever way to make every Helldiver feel valued, regardless of how active they are!

The developer’s policy of rewarding all Helldivers, active or otherwise, has not gone unnoticed by the community. Many appreciate the inclusive approach, especially those who find themselves pulled away from the game by real-life commitments.

However, it’s important to note that this generosity has its limits.

For context, the in-game Medals currency is capped at 250, meaning that any rewards beyond this point will show up as a big fat zero. It’s a gentle reminder that while Super Earth values all its citizens, it’s not exactly running an all-you-can-horde charity here.
Despite this limitation, however, the community largely views Arrowhead’s approach as a positive one.

As Helldivers continue to juggle their duties to Super Earth with their adventures in other games, it’s clear that Arrowhead’s generous spirit is keeping the community engaged and united. Whether you’re on the frontlines every day or just popping in between FromSoftware‘s boss fights, there’s always a place for you in the fight for managed democracy.
So, to all the Tarnished Helldivers out there: welcome back. Your medals are waiting, and the bugs aren’t going to liberate themselves. Now, suit up and get back to spreading democracy across the galaxy!
