Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt has been super active on X/Twitter ever since the release of Helldivers 2, talking to the community and answering any questions they have about the game. A player and X/Twitter user recently shared a clip of them playing with a teammate.

In the clip, they are seen loading another player’s weapon as an Automaton nears, calling it “the ultimate form of glazing.” The players eventually took down the Automaton with their strategic gameplay, and Pilestedt quoted the clip, saying, “This is the friend everyone needs.”

Helldivers 2 allows players to reload their teammate’s backpack weapons, where a player has to have the backpack and another player has to wear the weapon. The player with the backpack just needs to stand on the right of the player with the gun and press the interact button, and the player will automatically reload the weapon. This is one of the most celebrated features of the game.

Pilestedt’s post received several replies from players appreciating this feature, with one player saying that it is “wildly underrated” and should be used more in games. Another player added that this is “undeniably” the best feature in the game, and there is nothing better than getting in rhythm with the teammates. One player said, “For real, team up on autocannon is so fun.”

Helldivers 2’s Server Issues Are Improving With Devs Now Focusing on Original Plans

Helldivers 2 servers are now fixed and the max player cap is updated.
Helldivers 2 servers are now fixed and the max player cap is updated.

Helldivers 2 has been a massive success but has suffered significant server issues since its launch as players flocked to play the game on PlayStation 5 and PC. This resulted in server crashes and long wait times for matchmaking, which annoyed players, but the developers at Arrowhead Game Studios have been handling it very well, and it seems like any such issues might soon end.

The developer has consistently raised the max player cap from 500,000 to 700,000 concurrent players last week and also expects the max cap to hit around 800,000 concurrent players. Johan Pilestedt has now said that all servers have been handled “without problem” this past weekend.

Pilestedt added that now the team will be focusing on improving the title and resuming its “original plan” for the game, adding “many exciting things upcoming!” This has players excited as to what’s next in Helldivers 2, with many expecting that new mechs or player factions might be coming soon.
