There is still no actual title reveal at this time, so were are simply speculating that the project will be titled Bioshock 4, however, given the third entry was titled Bioshock Infinite, then this may lead to a different title completely. Despite this lack of clarity, it is the aforementioned leak which will have many fans sitting up to take notice.

In the recent post on mp1st we can see the leaked screenshot from the game currently in development and whilst it doesn’t give much away, it certainly will be a welcome sight to fans who have been waiting for any breadcrumb of news to pick up on.

The image is low-quality but we can decipher a recognizable interface with an equipped shotgun, a favorite weapon of the franchise. The tower in the center of the image also shows some sun atop of a tower and that has led to speculation linking this to the towers seen in Sea of Doors in Bioshock Infinite.

We should point out that the image in question for Bioshock 4 is unofficial and given the image appears to be a significantly early build, we would expect to see changes to the final product. However, the initial UI design is in keeping with what we’ve come to expect from previous titles.

What Could We Possibly See In The Next Game?

As most fans will be aware, there is very little known about the next game in the Bioshock franchise. Ken Levine will no longer be at the helm after he departed following the release of Bioshock Infinite in 2013 and with big shoes to fill, fans are still waiting to see who will bear the responsibility for this task.

Given that the 2013 game followed a new direction than that of its predecessors in terms of setting, could the upcoming game continue on this path or could we see something completely different? Despite the lack of detail, 2K have confirmed that they are working on a really awesome project, which may be enough for fans just now.

It’s clear that the Bioshock franchise remains hugely popular and although it has been over a decade since the last game, the desire for a new title remains as high as ever. This latest reveal for Bioshock 4 will no doubt have fans desperate for answers from developers and hopefully there will be confirmation sooner rather than later.
