However, despite the grandeur and success of the Harry Potter franchise, not every memory happened to be magical for its cast. Rupert Grint’s Biggest Regret from the Harry Potter Franchise

When Warner Bros adapted J.K. Rowling’s best-selling books, it not only allowed audiences to get a glimpse of the enormously popular Wizarding World but also catapulted the young actors to their lifelong fame. However, although this process eventually allowed the stars to become global icons, it also exposed them to a fair share of embarrassment, caught on screen.

Growing up on the set of the franchise, for over a decade, the Golden Trio, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, horrifyingly lived through their awkward teenage phases through the films. This eventually led Grint to share his deepest regret during his appearance on the Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard podcast. Reminiscing about the Harry Potter movies, Grint thus admitted cringing over Ron’s hairstyle in The Goblet of Fire.

There were some awkward stages, for sure. My hair in film four is one of my biggest regrets. Shoulder length. I think everyone actually had a phase of having this really long hair. They liked it…it was kind of wizardy. We went through our puberty on camera. You kind of see it all. It is very cringey.

During his appearance, Rupert Grint clarified that when he looks back at his time in the Harry Potter films, especially Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he doesn’t experience the feeling of nostalgia. Instead, he deeply regrets sporting his long hair, which he once found iconic during his teenage years.

Fans Still Remember Rupert Grint’s Awkward Shaggy Phase

Almost everyone goes through awkward teenage phases, sporting bizarre fashion, and hairstyles, but rarely a few get them etched in the history of cinema like Rupert Grint. Looking back at his long hair, Potterheads will undoubtedly recall how Grint’s appearance made him look almost like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo

Meanwhile, as we discuss Rupert Grint‘s quirks from his teenage years that later made him regret, it seems the actor isn’t the only one who cringed over his hairstyle. Ever since the release of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, people have sparked online debates surrounding the hairstyles of each actor in the film.

In the end, all we can say is, hate it or love it, Rupert Grint was rocking his long hair back in the early 2000s, which resurfaced as the ever-so-popular curtain bangs in recent years. So probably, despite the actor’s regret and fans’ dismay Ron Weasley is the one behind the resurgence of the trendy hairstyle.
