When Netflix’s One Piece live-action did the impossible by breaking the live-action adaptation curse, fans found a new reason to support Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus. The series brought together a great list of actors who justified their roles in the best way possible, earning fame and recognition among One Piece fans.
One of these actors who became a star in the eyes of One Piece enthusiasts was Emily Rudd, the actress who portrays the role of Nami in the adaptation. Although Rudd had worked on other projects, her fan following skyrocketed after One Piece, and for valid reasons, as many believed that no one could have played the role of Nami better than her.
However, Netflix was not done with her just yet. The streaming platform recently released a new anime called Delicious in Dungeon, and they decided to cast Rudd in the English dub version for one of the most important roles, as Marcille Donato. And she seems to have grasped the skill of voice acting, as she is gaining more and more fans because of her new role.

Delicious in Dungeon follows the story of an adventure group that decides to slay a dragon but, in the process, loses one of their members. However, they are not ready to give up just yet, as they are hellbent on saving their partner, but it might not be as easy as it sounds, as the dungeon is filled with many delicious creatures.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ryōko Kui and was released in January 2024. Rudd plays the character of Marcille Donato, a half-elven mage and member of Laios’ party. Marcille is one of the major characters in the series, and she specializes in fire magic, which is an additional advantage.
This is Rudd’s first voice acting role, and she has once again bagged one of the most important roles in one of the most anticipated series of 2024. Rudd’s fame in the anime community is growing exponentially, and now her fans have more than one reason to love her and appreciate her work.

As the series has only released its first season, the jury is still out for the series as a whole, but the reviews are decent for Delicious in Dungeon. While not much can be said about the anime adaptation, Emily Rudd’s performance has certainly made some heads turn, as fans are loving her first voice-acting role.

Rudd’s performance as Marcille Donato has certainly made her a fan-favorite in Delicious in Dungeon. And now fans are eagerly waiting for her to return as Nami in the upcoming season of One Piece live-action series which is going to be more entertaining and grand than the first season.
