One Piece is one of the few manga to reach 1100+ episodes and manga. Even after more than two decades, Eiichiro Oda keeps on delivering one mystery after another. Currently, he is busy writing the end of the Egghead Island arc and planning the beginning of the Elbaf arc. The biggest question or mystery in his magnum opus is what the One Piece is. There have been several fan theories that tried to point out what it is.

The One Piece is present on Laugh Tale. To reach Laugh Tale, one must find the four Road Poneglyphs. The four Road Poneglyphs connect at a particular point where Laugh Tale is present. But after Gol D. Roger, no one has seemed to find the fourth one. One of the latest fan theories points out that it is Eiichiro Oda’s doing, and there is a secret behind the fourth and final Road Poneglyph.

The Fourth Road Poneglyph Deals With Space and Time

The Straw Hat Pirates have got their hands on three out of the four Road Poneglyphs. One was there on the Island of Zou, another on the Whole Cake Island, and the third on Wano. But the fourth one was never found. The Roger Pirates were the last ones to discover it.

Even though three are enough to pinpoint the location, the latest fan theory suggests that the fourth one is necessary, too. It deals with the space and time continuum. The fan theory claims that there is a particular time to reach Laugh Tale, and Eiichiro Oda might have hidden it in the fourth Road Poneglyph.

It might be one of the reasons why Toki might have time-traveled to the time of Roger’s era. According to the fan theory, it follows the legend of the Island of Brasil in the Middle Ages Irish myth. The island would appear once every seven years, and there would be continuous celebrations, laughter, and no food shortage, and death would never enter the island. Eiichiro Oda might have followed the myth and made Laugh Tale a time-accessible island.

Even when the mangaka was asked to mention the country of origin for the Straw Hats, he said Monkey D. Luffy was from Brazil, which is similar to ‘Brasil.’ Moreover, if the location of a space-time Laugh Tale is based on the Fourth Road Poneglyph, the latter should also have some connection to space and time. It might be one of the reasons why it is not found in plain sight, and no Yonko got their hands on it.

Eiichiro Oda might have put it in a time frame constraint, which will only be found at a certain time. Roger might have entered the space-time frame at the exact time it opened and got access to the last Road Poneglyph. Due to Oda’s storytelling, it might exist and not exist at the same time.

Eiichiro Oda has said that he would draw the biggest war in One Piece history after the Egghead Island arc. The heavyweights of the upcoming war have been confirmed, and looks like the mangaka will be keeping his promise. Currently, the Jewelry Bonney and Monkey D. Luffy are fighting Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. Defeating the Gorosei will add another achievement lo Luffy’s name sine nobody has done it before.

As the Final War goes, the winner of the battle might become the one to find the last Road Poneglyph. God Valley 2.0 might take place soon, and the fans are bracing for impact. It will be interesting to see how the story sets up, especially after the war. The space and time theory seems exciting, but until the mangaka confirms it, nothing can be said for certain.

One Piece is available on Crunchyroll.
