Gojo might have been dead for months on end, but Jujutsu Kaisen fans have not been able to move on from the tragedy. In fact, Gege Akutami keeps raising the hopes of fans in the most painful ways possible.
When Yuta gained control over Gojo’s body, Jujutsu Kaisen fans felt crestfallen since it confirmed Gojo’s death. But if there’s one fandom that never loses hope, it’s Gojo Satoru’s. In fact, a new theory suggests that Gojo could be back due to a new power.
Gege Akutami Might Sacrifice Gojo’s Six Eyes in Jujutsu Kaisen
A fan theory states that Gojo will sacrifice either one or both of his Six Eyes to return to life. He might use a binding vow, a contract with himself, according to which he can be alive again once he has sacrificed his Six Eyes ability. However, this would be detrimental to Gojo because Six Eyes is an extremely powerful ability.
Gojo’s Six Eyes ability also helps him use Limitless as well as other techniques without completely draining his cursed energy reserve. Gojo has never lived without his Six Eyes and if he loses them, his ability to use Limitless would also decrease due to its huge energy consumption.
Even if Gojo returned by sacrificing his Six Eyes, he might become a weaker character in Jujutsu Kaisen, which is something that wouldn’t sit well with a lot of fans. In fact, he might even become similar to Naruto in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. But decreasing Gojo’s powers would simultaneously let the younglings grow and Gege Akutami might have no problem surpassing him anymore
Gojo Might Return by Using an Ability Inspired by Naruto
Another fan theory claims that Gojo might take over his own body similar to how Geto fought against Kenjaku. During the Shibuya Incident arc, the real Suguru Geto made an appearance and took control of his arm to strangle Kenjaku’s neck. What if Gojo can do something similar and return to his own body? Kenjaku could take over Geto’s body because it was not cremated, and still the real Geto was able to retaliate.
Gojo’s body might go through something similar and the theory suggests that he will introduce a hidden technique in the series called Cursed Technique: White. This technique could be used by Gojo to regain control over his body and it’s very similar to one power that is used in Naruto.
Izanami is a genjutsu that is linked with the Sharingan ability of Uchihas. During its usage, the victim goes through a continuous loop of events until and unless they accept the outcome of the events rather than battling it. It is a forbidden jutsu amongst the Uchiha clan because it seals off a Sharingan after it’s used.
Similarly, Gojo might regain control over his body by losing his Six Eyes and facing everything that has happened, before reincarnating in his own body.
