Pedro Pascal is currently one of the most in-demand actors in the industry. He has starred in several successful projects including big franchises that have catapulted his career to great heights. Along with his role as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, his performances in The Last of Us and The Mandalorian garnered rave reviews from fans and critics.
The actor starred alongside Gina Carano in the latter who played Cara Dune. The actress was infamously fired from the show due to some of her political views that were deemed inappropriate. As her battle against Disney continues, various individuals related to the show, including Pascal, could testify in court.
Gina Carano Wants Pedro Pascal And Other Witnesses To Testify In Court Over Her Mandalorian Firing
In 2021, Gina Carano was let go from being on the Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, after she reportedly made several social media posts comparing conservatives to Jews in Nazi Germany. She also questioned the credibility of the 2020 election as well as criticizing the use of masks during the pandemic (via Business Insider). Carano has been open about how the company turned a blind eye when her male co-stars did the same.
The actress filed a lawsuit against Disney in February this year suing Disney and Lucasfilm for discrimination and wrongful termination. A trial has been scheduled for Sept. 25, 2025, and Carano has reportedly called for some witnesses from the show and Disney to testify in court. Names that were included in the joint filing were Pedro Pascal, Jon Favreau, and Bob Chapek (via The Hollywood Reporter).
On X, fans debated the circumstances surrounding the trial and the lawsuit filed by Carano. While some supported the actress’ battle for her right to expression and free speech, others believed actors like Pascal shouldn’t be brought in amidst the mess.
