Charlie Sheen used to be one of the most influential figures in Hollywood, with his handsome looks and charisma stealing the hearts of pretty much every other woman. However, a few bad decisions and unfortunate turn of events during the peak of his career didn’t hesitate to land him in the controversial aisle of the entertainment industry as well.

In fact, ever since the actor entered a downward spiral following his divorce and substance abuse, he also ended up picking a fight with people he never should have. Like his public feud with one of the most powerful men in the industry, Chuck Lorre, who was also the showrunner of his smash-hit series Two and a Half Men, which, inevitably, didn’t end well.

The Time Charlie Sheen Picked Trouble with Chuck Lorre

In 2011, while he was still working on Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen severely struggled with his condition constantly deteriorating while he tried to make his way through his marital problems and substance abuse issues. But since he clearly needed some rehab time to get back on track, the series’ production was put on halt as it went on hiatus.

But instead of things getting mended, everything further went downhill after the Platoon actor claimed he was sober and ready to work again but the production still didn’t pick up. This enraged the actor to innumerable heights, with Sheen eventually picking a fight with the show’s creator and runner Chuck Lorre, placing the entire blame game for this on him.

This saw him trying to pull Lorre, who is one of the most influential men in the entire entertainment industry, under the bus by reportedly unleashing uncountable tirades against him. As per TMZ, the Hot Shots! star once even said:

I violently hate Chaim Levine (Chuck Lorre). He’s a stupid, stupid little man and a p—y punk that I’d never want to be like. That’s me being polite. All these guys told me to ‘clean it up.’ Well, this is me cleaning it the f—k up.

If that wasn’t enough to land him in some serious damage, the now-58-year-old actor even went as far as saying that he had “to deal with all this B.S. politics” trying to “bring my family together,” while Lorre “took money out of my pocket, my family’s pocket, and, most importantly, my second family — my crew’s pocket.”

Of course, that entire situation was as sticky as could get, and the results weren’t favorable to Sheen either. Since Lorre had already established himself as one of the most influential figures in Hollywood through his masterpiece works, going against him only landed the actor in an incredibly controversial position, eventually leading to his firing from Two and a Half Men.

While the Major League actor’s antics didn’t seem to be calming down anytime soon, Warner Bros. eventually settled on showing him the door from his smash-hit series that made him one of the highest-paid actors on TV of the time. In the document shared by TMZ, WB didn’t hold back while listing all the reasons why Sheen wasn’t capable of working with them anymore.

Reportedly, Sheen’s legal team was sent an 11-page-long letter claiming that the actor was no longer able to deliver his end of the bargain since “[he] has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude.” Additionally, they also slammed him for being “engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct,” all the while claiming that he “appears to be very ill.”

But while this firing was one thing, it wasn’t the only thing that had his career soon plummetting down to extraordinary lows before he eventually completely disappeared from television shows and movies. Yet, since then, Sheen seems to be slowly gaining back his edge, considering how he finally seemingly mended his relationship with Lorre before agreeing to work with him once again on his critically acclaimed series Bookie.
