Remakes of classic games have become a trend in the industry, and fans are hoping their childhood favorite gets a revamp for the new generation of consoles. Here are seven games we believe now deserve a remake!

When thinking of a remake for the series, many would look to New Vegas, but Fallout 3 deserves just as much attention! It is the third mainline addition to the series and the first to be worked on by Bethesda.

With a captivating story, a unique world, and classic Bethesda dialogues, it is considered one of the best RPGs in history. It’s also the first time fans of the series were able to experience the world in a 3D setting. Including New Vegas in the remake would be the icing on the cake.

6. Sly Raccoon

Before Sucker Punch Productions was known for Ghost of Tsushima, it made its entry onto the PlayStation platform with Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. This PS2 classic is now available on the PlayStation Store, but fans of the series have been clamoring for a remake or remaster for years.

It’s unclear why such a project is not in the works, but there is a lot of support for the title. The games did get a remastered collection for the PlayStation 3, but it had several issues, and fans were not happy. So, a complete remake might finally scratch that itch.

Fans of classic horror titles may be looking forward to the Silent Hill 2 Remake, but it’s not the only game that can deliver scares and atmosphere. Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly is one of the scariest entries in the franchise and has an ambiance that is sure to capture players’ attention.

Based in an abandoned, haunted village, the player must uncover the mystery behind the occult rituals that have led the various spirits and demonic entities to inhabit the region while keeping themselves safe using just a camera.

4. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

A classic hack-and-slash title that is highly requested, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver would make a gem of a remake for those who first played the game on the PlayStation, Windows, or Dreamcast.

It was many gamers’ first taste of a hack-and-slash game, with the player taking on the role of Raziel, a ghostly vampire. While the combat was fun, the puzzle mechanics and shifting between the material and spectral planes further added to the experience.

3. Bully

Rockstar is currently busy with the imminent release of GTA 6, but many fans wish the studio would consider a remake of one of their best-selling titles, Bully. The game was available on PlayStation 4, but the graphics are beginning to show, and it would benefit from a remake.

Taking the Rockstar formula and applying it to a boarding school seemed to work for many gamers, as the game had you play as James “Jimmy” Hopkins, who is trying to build a reputation for himself in his school through various stunts and pranks.

Arguably one of the best games inspired by the series, this 2003 release quickly became a fan favorite. The game featured an open-world design and offered side missions, including some hidden collectibles! A remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run is sure to gain massive favor from its fan base.

1. The Saboteur

Open-world games have a lot of potential to be remade, and the same applies to The Saboteur. Taking place in the seedy streets of Nazi-occupied Paris, the player is a lynchpin in orchestrating a rebellion against the oppressive forces.

Combining driving, stealth, gunplay, and even parkour, the game offered a unique experience that could translate well into a remake.
