Spoiler Alert !!!
Spoilers for MHA manga ending!

My Hero Academia was completed on August 4, 2024. After a decade of covering 430 chapters, Izuku Midoriya has fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming the greatest hero. But it was not a smooth ride as he had to sacrifice One for All for victory over the villains. He has become quirkless once again, and after a time-skip of 8 years, he is seen to be guiding the next generation of heroes at U.A.

However, the fans were not satisfied with the conclusion. They believe that Kohei Horikoshi could have done a better job. After its conclusion, My Hero Academia revealed that the franchise will announce something of greater importance on August 5, 2024. Since it had a mediocre end, the fans wish it was an announcement of a sequel.

Kohei Horikoshi might be following the Big Three’s footsteps. The time skips and the sequel ideas match Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece and Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto Shippuden. The fandom had high hopes for Kohei Horikoshi, but the conclusion disappointed them. They even made fun of the ending on social media.

My Hero Academia belongs to the Shonen genre, and having a Shonen touch in the end could have made it perfect. The fans were especially upset with Deku. Not only did he not end up with Ochaco Uraraka, but he also lost his quirk and had to get a battle suit to continue working as a hero.

But after the latest announcement, the fans have their fingers crossed. While the announcement of a sequel seems possible, it could also be the announcement of a movie or season 8. Everyone is wishing for the first to happen since it could potentially undo the damage of the conclusion. Even social media has erupted and wants a “My Hero Academia Shippuden.”
