Robert Pattinson Will Try To Find Fame And Fortune In The Korean Market

A source told Life & Style magazine that Robert Pattinson took Mickey 17 with a positive mindset of working with Korean creatives and making it big in the Far East. The project, which is based on Edward Ashton’s Mickey7, is a joint American-Korean production financed by the US and off-screen talents largely sourced from Korea. Filmmaker Bong Joon-ho is at the helm.

With the global success of the Korean industry in terms of filmmaking, many Hollywood stars are also aiming for what Pattinson is trying to achieve. After Parasite’s fame, the first-ever foreign-language film to win an Oscar for Best Picture, studios like Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, and Netflix have set up headquarters based in Korea.

Moreover, the outlet reported that Pattinson “has landed on Korea as a place that could become a second home for him, Suki and their new family.” Suki Waterhouse gave birth to their first child in March 2024.

The same insider claimed that the actor’s biggest test will come in January next year “when Rob actually goes to Korea to promote the film and drum up interest. He has fans in Asia, but this is the first Asian-generated project he’s ever done.”

Interestingly enough, the studio promised him that he would receive “a hero’s welcome in Seoul” while the scooper revealed that “Rob is keeping his fingers crossed that he can break through there,” just like he did in the US and Europe.

Considering his plans to move to Korea and the promotion of his upcoming project, fans are left wondering if this will cause any delay in the production of The Batman Part II.
