The Deadpool & Wolverine movie has set a fire in the theatres, fans are going gaga over the action-comedy and calling it ‘Marvel’s apology letter’. The film features the famed duo of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine onscreen. The iconic superhero movie is rated R and includes a bunch of easter eggs for comic fans.
One unique aspect of the film which has moviegoers rushing into theatres time and again, is the several cameos of different superheroes and villains. Many legendary heroes and villains were seen in this movie, whether in extended roles or short cameos. Fans are filled with all kinds of emotions, with one prominent feeling-confusion. This feeling is attributed to one specific scene in the movie which has left not only Deadpool but the audience lost too.
The cameo which left everyone confused: Deadpool & Thor
The movie showcases a scene which involves a conversation between Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Paradox played by Matthew Macfadyen, at the TVA headquarters. There the former is shown past, present and supposedly future clips of the MCU but it is one specific clip featuring Thor played By Chris Hemsworth that garners his attention.
Deadpool’s a fan of these heroes and so this kind of obsession with this snippet where he sees himself being cradled so gently in Thor’s hulking arms..
One of the clips featured what according to Mr Paradox was ‘the future’, showing Deadpool battered on the ground with Thor having an emotional moment with him and crying. The scene left the anti-hero befuddled and even though Paradox tried to divert his attention, he was almost obsessed with what he saw. Later on in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, he was insistent to know just one thing- why was Thor crying?

Fans too left the theatres with the same question in mind, ironically it became a running gag not just in the movie but also on social media. The movie gave no explanations about the scene, save for that it was a moment yet to come.
It shall be revealed…maybe?
In a podcast with Josh Horowitz, Director Shawn Levy talked in-depth about the movie and several aspects of it. Regarding the hilarious cameo, the director was amused and said that at first they did not put too much thought behind that scene.

He revealed that he along with Reynolds thought that the scene was a good fit but the revelation would come later and is left to the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige to brainstorm about. Since two brand new Avengers movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, are both said to be released before 2030, a lot of questions might be addressed. In an interview with Weintraub the Deadpool actor said,
I’ll just say that it’s something that we are going to account for … at some point, that’s about all I can really say right now, but we will account for it.

For now fans can just speculate about Deadpool’s future with the Avengers‘ heroes. A lot of interesting theories may have come up but only future movies and Feige can finally answer the most awaited question. Watch Deadpool & Wolverine in nearby theatres.
