Kevin Feige is a person who likes to take risks. Sure most of them are calculated, but Feige can sometimes become a prankster. Robert Downey Jr., who recently became MCU’s Doctor Doom, might need to take some precautions.

From his inception as Iron Man in the 2008 film Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. has had a lot of co-stars and side characters. Well, one of the side characters left the MCU because of getting allegedly underpaid and fans wonder… what if he returns?

Kevin Feige Could Prank Robert Downey Jr. Quite Badly!

It was 2008 when the world was introduced to Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Starring alongside him was actor Terrence Howard who portrayed the role of Colonel James Rhodes.

As per the reports by ComicBook Movie, Terrence Howard was the highest-paid actor in Iron Man. When the movie became successful and talks of a sequel were underway, Howard allegedly received the news that his paycheck was going to be reduced by almost 80%!

He left the film never to return back but he still held a grudge. Well, fans took to their social media account on X and wondered what it would be like if Kevin Feige appointed Terrence Howard as the new Kang after Robert Downey Jr. became Doctor Doom?

Obviously it’s a joke but hey, this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe we are talking about, where anything is possible. However, there has been a severe backlash against Terrence Howard especially after he appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience.

From tall claims to talking financial details about the MCU, fans did not like Howard’s philosophies and the various theories that he believed in. However, the actor did share the details of his deal with Marvel Studios.

The Fallout Between Terrence Howard And The MCU

After his departure from the MCU, the actor went on to do other projects and appeared in several episodes of TV shows. The actor later made an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

During his talks, the actor revealed that he had originally made a deal with Marvel Studios for three films. With increased paychecks, Howard revealed that Marvel Studios allegedly made a very low-ball offer which he had to refuse.

I was doing Iron Man, out of nowhere that gets taken away. We did a three picture deal with Marvel. $4.5 million for the first one, $7.5-8 million for the second one, $12 million for the third. We signed it.

He further continued,

They come back to me the week that my mother died…They said we want Terrence but we want him to come back for $1 million instead of the $8 million that we had agreed to.

Although there are different rumors and reasons why the MCU cut ties with Terrence Howard, the point stands that he doesn’t like Marvel Studios much. But… Kevin Feige is a prankster, after all.

Things could very well turn upside-down and Howard may return as Kang the Conqueror to join hands (or face against) Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in the future.
