The gaming community is captivated by the remake of Final Fantasy 7 and applauds the game developers’ decision to split the original story into three larger games. The first part was released near the end of the PlayStation 4 life cycle and made the most out of the hardware, while Rebirth just came out and took advantage of the PlayStation 5 hardware.

Fans anticipate that the game developers will likely go bolder and bigger with each new entry. Director Naoki Hamaguchi hints at a new batch of side activities in Part 3 for the players to experience while they pursue Sephiroth.

The Final Fantasy franchise is renowned for its unique visuals, art style, and ambitious storytelling. The gaming community is delighted to see the game developers take the initiative to remake classic titles; unfortunately, Xbox players are always on the short end of the stick and are always getting left out after Sony locked in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy to the PlayStation ecosystem.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth did extremely well, and fans are eager to see how the game developers will end the trilogy on a high note. Director Naoki Hamaguchi teased the gaming community that the final chapter will likely feature new side activities and content to pump the breaks on the party’s hunt for Sephiroth, and these could be a nice change of pace from all the tension.

The developers also teased that Cloud and the rest of the party have a unique understanding of Aerith’s untimely death in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Although these games are a retelling of the original game released in 1997, the game developers added new twists that challenge the definition of a remake as these characters are straying from their predetermined paths.

Snowboarding is at the top of the gaming community’s list and could be a perfect successor to the Chocobo racing minigame. These side activities will gently distract the party from their mission and allow the story and the players to breathe amidst the high stakes.

Rebirth introduced plenty of new minigames, which were all well received. It would make sense for Square Enix to follow up with a new batch of side content.

The game developers are optimistic about the development of Part 3 as the composer of the first two entries, Nobuo Uematsu, already agreed to come back and finish what he started. Fans are eager to see how the developers will change certain details from the original story.

The gaming community’s interest was piqued after witnessing key elements change but end up in a similar situation to the original game. Square Enix wants to redefine the meaning of a remake in the best way possible.

Expanding the lore with open-world norms is the best way to go about it. Cloud and his friends could benefit from a break after everything they have endured.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth sets the bar high for what fans should expect in the final chapter. Hopefully, these side activities will be placed in areas that will not harm the pacing.
